Lumika Instagram Direct integration requests these scopes:
- instagram_business_basic
- instagram_business_manage_messages
What Lumika reads
After authorization, Lumika may access account and messaging metadata needed for support automation.
- Account profile fields (username, name, profile picture, biography when available).
- Direct message events and supported attachments required for conversation timeline.
- Customer profile identifiers required for consistent conversation mapping.
You can disconnect or revoke authorization at any time from Meta app settings.
Privacy model
Lumika does not request your Instagram password and does not rely on client-side token handling.
- OAuth exchange is performed server-to-server.
- Workspace account records isolate your integration from other workspaces.

Get connected step by step
Prepare account, authorize OAuth, and validate DM delivery.

Prepare Instagram account
- Ensure account type is Business or Creator.
- Confirm messaging is enabled for the account.
- Link account to the relevant Facebook Page when required by your Meta setup.

Authorize in Lumika
- Create Instagram integration in Dashboard → Integrations.
- Start OAuth flow and approve requested Instagram scopes.
- Finish authorization and return to Lumika.

Validate synchronization
- Confirm account appears as active in Integrations.
- Send a test DM to the connected Instagram account.
- Check Activities timeline for message ingestion and assistant response.
